Washington Arts Centre

The Centre occupies an attractive award-winning group of converted 19th Century agricultural buildings and comprises of performance spaces, an art gallery, a children's room, and specialist workshops. The Centre presents exhibitions, folk, rock, pop, jazz and classical music and touring theatre productions. Each month there is an 'Art Mart', where local craftspeople display their works for sale.

Empire Theatre

Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art

Sunderland Museum & Winter Gardens

Exciting hands-on exhibits and interactive displays tell the story of Sunderland from its prehistoric past through to the present day.

The Art Gallery features paintings by L S Lowry alongside Victorian masterpieces and artefacts from the four corners of the world. The stunning Winter Gardens stimulates the senses with over 1,500 flowers and plants brought together in a spectacular showcase of the world's natural beauty.
